A few months ago I wrote a blog post about how to trust your to do list and get more done on a daily basis. It’s a fundamental problem that I don’t feel enough productivity books truly address, and one of the reasons that it took me so long to get to where I am in managing my schedule.

The problem isn’t that we lack systems or processes. It’s that, even with a brilliant system in place, we have to create the habits necessary to TRUST that system. We have to know that, no matter how busy things get, there is a list somewhere of every task that needs to be done tomorrow, and the next day, and so on.

No more writing on napkins, mumbling what you don’t want to forget, or filling your own inbox with notes and reminders.

Building On a Positive Response

The response to that blog post was incredible. It resonated in a way few things I’ve written ever have, so I knew I had to write more. I wanted to go beyond just seven tips from my daily activities and share more specifically how I manage my to do list each and every day.

So I wrote something a bit longer. It’s called Trust Your To Do List: 37 Tips to Boost Productivity Daily and you can download it on Kindle now. In fact, if you download it this week, you can get it for free.

What’s in the book?

In it you’ll find the original 7 tips I shared last July, along with 30 more covering topics such as where and how I work to reduce distractions, the five minute hacks that can increase your level of focus for up to an hour at a time, how to use email as an effective productivity tool, not the distraction it is, and a whole bunch more.

The book is short, to the point, and actionable – the goal of which being to help you get more out of your day without requiring you to spend the next week reading an epic manuscript.

Let Me Know What You Think!

I’ve been down this road. My to do list used to be a Word document with 125 pages of color coded text, and more stuff pending than done. It was stressful and it ate up more of my time than any work I actually completed.

Those days are gone, but it took a lot of work, and the 37 tips in this short eBook are a big part of the reason why. So check it out and if you like what you read here, and make sure to leave a quick review and rating to help others find the book as well. Thanks in advance for your feedback!
